The Nigerian government has pledged ₦122 billion (approximately $157 million) to encourage the use of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) within the transportation sector. Spearheaded by the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), this initiative aims to construct a comprehensive CNG infrastructure to address escalating diesel prices and diminish dependence on costly diesel imports.
This funding will permit stakeholders to create vital infrastructure, with the objective of reducing transportation expenses and providing a cleaner, more sustainable fuel option.
