Senator Orji Uzor Kalu (representing Abia North) has urged Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu: a leader who, although pragmatic, genuinely listens to the concerns of the populace.
In a Facebook post on Saturday night—after visiting President Tinubu at his private residence in Lagos—Kalu commended Tinubu’s leadership. He emphasized the importance of national unity and support for the administration, because this is essential for progress. However, some might question the effectiveness of such backing, but Kalu remains steadfast in his belief that unity is crucial.
Kalu wrote:
I needed to compensate my friend and sibling from the class of 1999, Governors, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, for a cordial private visit aimed at commending his intrepid efforts in guiding the nation.
Additionally, I sought to offer an independent evaluation of the areas that require immediate attention. He was profoundly grateful for the thoughtfulness behind the visit (this was evident in his demeanor) and assured me that noticeable enhancements regarding the concerns raised would manifest shortly.
The senator further underscored Tinubu’s attentive and practical approach to governance, urging Nigerians to acknowledge and bolster his initiatives: however, it is crucial to remember that support is not merely a formality. Although there may be criticisms, one thing I wish for Nigerians to understand and value is that we have a President who listens, presiding over a responsive and pragmatic administration. This is precisely why he merits the backing of all well-intentioned Nigerians.
