WIKE RECEIVES AKPABIO AT HIS RESIDENCE

Today, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, received Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Nigerian Senate, at his home in Asokoro, Abuja.

This visit underscores their continuing political partnership, especially in light of Akpabios recent election as Senate President, a position he attained with substantial support from Wike and other senators hailing from Rivers State.

The primary purpose behind Godswill Akpabios visit to Nyesom Wikes residence was to convey his gratitude for Wikes crucial backing during his campaign for the Senate Presidency.

Despite being affiliated with the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Wike endorsed Akpabios candidacy due to their previous collaboration and Akpabios assistance during Wikes own gubernatorial campaign.

Wike stressed that supporting Akpabio was a way to reciprocate the help he received stating "This is payback time for him" while also reaffirming his commitment to ensuring Akpabios success in the Senate.

During their meeting Akpabio acknowledged Wikes contributions and expressed appreciation for his support, which played a role in securing his election as Senate President in the 10th Assembly.
