TINUBU ALLOCATES RICE DISTRIBUTION AS PART OF THE RELIEF EFFORTS

President Tinubu has designated bags of rice for each minister as part of ongoing assistance initiatives.

The Minister of Solid Minerals Development Dr. Dele Alake revealed that the rice allocated by the Presidency will be exclusively distributed to seniors in his state. This announcement was made through a statement from his Special Assistant on Media Segun Tomori and shared publicly in Ado Ekiti on Sunday.

Alake mentioned "In line with the Presidencys effort to meet food needs at the grassroots level bags of rice have been allocated to each minister to support existing distribution initiatives via state governments and civic organizations."

He stressed "The rice will be given out only to the elderly. Its essential to show our support for our elderly fathers and mothers during these challenging times reflecting the Omoluabi values, of caring for seniors in our communities."

"To ensure inclusivity we have chosen to focus this assistance on the elderly who often face difficulties competing for welfare items at central distribution locations. We have taken their needs into account and will deliver the aid directly to them."

He added that upcoming assistance initiatives will focus on supporting various at risk populations such as widows, orphans, individuals with disabilities and college students.
