29 NIGERIAN ARMY GENERAL RETIRED



A group of 29 generals from the Infantry Corps of the Nigerian Army has retired, with 19 major generals and 10 brigadiers general among them. 


Major General Victor Ezugwu, representing the retirees, highlighted the importance of enhancing the army's aviation and night fighting capabilities to combat terrorism and banditry effectively. He urged current officers to stay ahead of evolving combat scenarios and advised their successors to not only maintain but exceed the army's achievements. 


Ezugwu emphasized the expanding frontline and the crucial role of the Infantry Corps in safeguarding Nigeria's sovereignty, urging them to enhance tactics like night fighting and intelligence gathering. He also stressed the importance of rigorous field crafts training to dominate enemy territory effectively.
