Uba Sani, Kaduna's governor, revealed that the state's 32 general hospitals have not seen renovations in two decades.
Speaking at the government house during a visit from APC stakeholders representing all 23 LGAs, he emphasized the need for urgent action, as residents often have to seek medical care in neighboring states due to the hospitals' conditions.
Sani outlined plans to renovate, rebuild, and upgrade six general hospitals across the state, with two hospitals targeted in each senatorial zone.
He stressed the importance of investing in healthcare, especially at the secondary level, to address the longstanding neglect these hospitals have faced.
