The NNPC initiated the unloading of 240 million liters of petrol on Monday to address the increasing nationwide petrol shortage.
A total of five vessels imported the petrol into the country, which was then distributed across five depots.
Ayo Cardoso, the South-West Regional Coordinator for the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, confirmed the operation, stating that efforts are underway to resolve the fuel crisis.
He emphasized that vessels are currently discharging the product, with 240 million liters already unloaded. Despite the challenges, Cardoso assured that normalcy would soon return with the continuous efforts being made.
