CBN RESTRUCTURES STAFF

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has continued its staff restructuring, resulting in the termination of 40 employees, mainly from the development finance department (DFD).

The impact was felt most among deputy directors and assistant directors, with 22 from DFD and 18 from the Medicals and Procurement Services Department. Initially, 27 staff members, including directors, were affected, and further layoffs are anticipated.

The recent rise in affected staff, totaling 67, indicates a pattern under the leadership of the Olayemi Cardoso-led Board of Governors.
