Kaduna State Governor Sen. Uba Sani has officially announced the release of over 200 Kuriga school children who were kidnapped:
"I'm pleased to announce that our Kuriga school children have been released. We extend our gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing the safety of Nigerians, especially in ensuring the safe return of the abducted children. Throughout this ordeal, I maintained regular communication with the President, who shared our concerns and tirelessly collaborated with us to secure the children's release.
Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to the National Security Adviser, Mal. Nuhu Ribadu, for his exceptional leadership. Together, we worked tirelessly to strategize and coordinate security operations, leading to this successful outcome.
The Nigerian Army deserves recognition for demonstrating bravery, determination, and commitment in restoring security and degrading criminal elements in our communities.
We are grateful to all Nigerians who fervently prayed for the safe return of the school children. Today is a day of joy, and we attribute all glory to Almighty Allah."
