President Tinubu has initiated a plan to overhaul the cabinet, marking a three-phase process to assess Ministers and leaders of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) as his first year in office approaches its end.
The objective is to establish a platform where the public can express their opinions regarding the retention or replacement of Ministers as the government approaches its one-year milestone on May 29, 2024.
The launch event on the platform has been postponed to the following week to allow the policy coordination team, headed by Hadiza Bala-Usman, to complete necessary procedures.
"This process will unfold in three stages. Initially, the public will have access to information regarding President Bola Tinubu's objectives for each Ministry, enabling them to provide feedback on Ministerial performance against these targets," stated a source.
"Subsequently, the Policy Coordination office will conduct evaluations, followed by assessments from a team of Consultants. These evaluations will serve as the criteria for determining which Ministers will retain their positions and which will be replaced due to inadequate performance."
