ACCESS BANK LOAN CONTROVERSY

Access Bank, under the leadership of Herbert Wigwe, facilitated ₦50 billion in contracts for Craneburg Construction, a company owned by his late wife. Documents reveal that Access Bank provided a loan for these contracts awarded by the Abia State government.

However, concerns have been raised regarding the lack of transparency in the bidding and approval process for these contracts. Residents criticize the lack of oversight from the state House of Assembly and question the legitimacy of the borrowing.

Despite attempts to reach out to state officials for clarification, there has been no response.
