The Finance Minister and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, indicated that just 5% of Nigerians have over N500,000 in their bank accounts.
He emphasized that microeconomic reforms aim to redirect government revenue into its coffers, addressing excessive liquidity in the economy benefiting only a minority.
He stressed the importance of ensuring broader access to financial resources and highlighted efforts to rectify the concentration of wealth in the hands of a few, a trend observed in the years preceding the current administration.
