Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Umar-Farouq, citing health issues, has officially requested the EFCC for an extension of the deadline to meet with interrogators regarding an ongoing probe into the alleged laundering of N37,170,855,753.44 during her tenure.
The EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, mentioned that Umar sent a legal representative, explained her health challenges, and sought more time to honor the invitation. Despite this, the commission has urged her to promptly submit herself for questioning as the investigation continues.
