HOW TO TACKLE INSECURITY IN 6 MONTHS — RETIRED MILITARY ADVICES

Retired Nigerian military officials offered suggestions to address insecurity within six months. One proposed a decisive order from President Tinubu to end insecurity, with consequences for failure.

Another suggested a coordinated 'Scotch Egg Approach' operation to encircle and eliminate adversaries, emphasizing unity among military personnel.

Additionally, an Airforce general recommended a comprehensive reorientation of the police, including the removal of 'Force' from their name, joint combat training, and the establishment of a Joint Counter Terrorism Training Centre for para-military personnel.

This, he argued, would enhance cooperation and address the weakening of the military due to excessive involvement in internal crises.
