Yesterday, the EFCC confiscated the travel documents of Dr. Betta Edu, the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, as well as her predecessor, Hajiya Sadiya Umar-Farouq.
The international passport of Halima Shehu, the suspended National Coordinator of NSIPA, was also impounded. This action is part of the conditions for their administrative bail amid ongoing financial crime investigations.
The EFCC source stated that the passports will be held by the commission until the investigation concludes.
Additionally, three bank managing directors were questioned for their suspected involvement in a conspiracy related to alleged violations of the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
