The Supreme Court has rejected Emeka Ihedioha's plea, dismissing his application to oust Hope Uzodinma as Imo state governor.
Ihedioha sought a consequential order for INEC to grant him a certificate of return as the rightful winner of the 2019 election.
Justice Tijjani Abubakar, in delivering the lead judgment, deemed the application meritless, frivolous, and vexatious, asserting the court's lack of jurisdiction due to the elapsed 60-day period for election matters.
Furthermore, Counsel for the PDP, Mike Ozekhome, SAN, was fined ₦40m for presenting the case.
