On Tuesday, December 12, the Senate reviewed President Bola Tinubu's letter, seeking confirmation for 19 nominees to the National Population Commission (NPC).
President Tinubu also urged the approval of Babajide Fasina (South-West), Enorense Amadasu (South-South), and Bashir Indabawa (North-West) as NPC commissioners. The Senate, chaired by Senator Godswill Akpabio, mandated the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to provide a report within two weeks.
The appointed commissioners include individuals from various states such as;
