The Senate Committee on Gas Resources, scrutinizing the disbursement of N250 billion by the Central Bank of Nigeria to firms in the oil and gas sector, has warned of involving anti-graft agencies if defaulting beneficiaries don't repay.
During a session with 14 companies that received N135 billion, the committee criticized the lack of coordination between the Ministry of Petroleum Resources and the CBN.
They raised concerns about uneven fund distribution and vowed to engage the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for recovery if necessary.
