MANDELA'S MANSION ABANDONED

Nelson Mandela's former residence, where he lived until his passing, now stands abandoned as his grandchildren vacated the premises over unpaid electricity bills. South African journalist Silindelo Masikene revealed in a tweet that the mansion on 12th Avenue in Houghton was left deserted, with photos showcasing the aftermath.

The unpaid utility bills, attributed to be the responsibility of the Nelson Rolihlala Mandela Trust, led to the disconnection of electricity, prompting the grandchildren to depart. Remarkably, a decade after Mandela's death, the process of winding up his estate remains unresolved.
