The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced complimentary train rides starting Thursday for all passenger services.
President Bola Tinubu's directive also includes a 50% reduction in interstate bus fares for Christmas and New Year travel.
The free train service will run from December 21, 2023, to January 4, 2024, exclusively through online e-ticketing.
Passengers must obtain tickets online, as they won't be issued at train stations.
