DANGOTE REFINERY SETS TO COMMENCE

The commencement of fuel production at the Dangote Refinery in Nigeria, a colossal $19 billion project, is imminent with the arrival of the first crude shipment.

The OTIS tanker, transporting 950,000 barrels of Nigeria's Agbami crude, set sail on December 6 and is en route to Lekki, the closest land port to Dangote's offshore receiving terminal.

Expected to arrive around 8pm on December 7, this marks a pivotal moment for the country's oil industry, as reported by S&P Global.

The Suezmax tanker, chartered by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), signifies the initial crude supply to Dangote's advanced refinery as it prepares for production, according to a West African oil trader mentioned in the S&P report.
