INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN HUNGARY — GOV OTTI

In August, Governor Alex Chioma Otti held a meeting with the Deputy Ambassador of Hungary in my office. During our discussions, we explored various investment opportunities spanning agriculture, healthcare, education, security, and access to clean drinking water. I am currently in Hungary on a working visit, where I have had the privilege to personally explore these potential ventures. We've had the opportunity to visit two remarkable companies:

1. OrtoProfil: This exceptional medical aid service provider specializes in crafting custom limb prostheses, electronic wheelchairs, orthopedic therapeutic footwear, and insoles for individuals with flat feet and diabetes. The high quality and functionality of their products have the potential to greatly enhance the lives of people with disabilities in Abia State.

2. Agrár Béta Group: This bioenergy farm includes a biogas plant and bioethanol factory, producing 1.7 megawatts of power. Beyond power generation, the plant's heat is used to dry agricultural products like mangoes. They have also excelled in hybrid maize production and offer training in bioenergy farm processes.

We are enthusiastic about the possibility of collaborating with these companies to establish manufacturing facilities in Abia State. Through these partnerships, we aim to create jobs and contribute to our economy. I firmly believe that by working alongside our Hungarian friends, we can achieve significant benefits for our people.

Furthermore, we were later hosted at a reception by the Nigerian Ambassador to Hungary, H.E. Modupe Enitan Irele. In attendance were members of the Abia State Government delegation and a business delegation from Abia State. This included Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, Engr. Ikechukwu Monday, Dr. Cliff Agbaeze, Mr. Chuka Ofili, Engr. Chinedu Onyeizu, Engr. Ifeanyi Clement Okorie, Engr. Christian Ikechukwu Soribe, and Chief Owelle Greg Okafor.
