Residents of Lagos have expressed frustration over the government's failure to fix a collapsed bridge at a busy market for over six months.
The bridge, which links Ikotun to Egbe Road, has been out of commission for half a year, causing inconvenience to residents and road users. The situation has led to complaints from locals, who have taken to social media to voice their concerns.
This is not the first time that Lagos residents have lamented the government's failure to fix a pedestrian bridge. In August 2023, road users in Ijeshatedo complained about the state of a pedestrian bridge that had been left unrepaired.
Similarly, in November 2022, residents raised the alarm over a pedestrian bridge at Charity that was in need of repair.
