APPOINTMENTS TO DEFUNCT PROJECTS

Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Beta Edu, recently announced appointments to various entities and programs within her ministry.

However, these appointments were made to entities that no longer exist or are no longer part of her ministry. For example, Olubunmi Bello was appointed as the national coordinator of the Community and Social Development Programme (CSDP), a defunct $415 million World Bank-funded project that concluded in June 2021.

Similarly, Richard Romanus was appointed as the national program manager of the Youth Empowerment and Social Support Operations (YESSO), another defunct World Bank-supported project that officially closed in September 2020.
