The Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, joyfully announced the reopening of General Hospital Amachara and the newly renovated Abia State Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Centre. These facilities have undergone extensive upgrades, now equipped with round-the-clock power and water supply, as we remain resolute in our mission to combat modern diseases and offer top-notch healthcare to our citizens.
Our goal is to restore all primary and secondary health institutions in the state to their optimal functionality. We are determined to ensure that no Abia resident needs to seek medical care outside the state. You can anticipate the expansion of such improved facilities across the state in the upcoming months. Furthermore, I issue a stern warning to those who unlawfully steal medical equipment: you will face legal consequences.
I promise the people of Abia, a commitment that lies at the core of the Labour Party's agenda, that we will dedicate our every waking moment to working for you and utilizing the tools of governance to solve your challenges.
I extend special thanks to Dr. Ngozi Okoronkwo, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Betty Emeka Obasi, SSA on Special Duties, the dedicated executive team of the State's Ministry for Health, and the management of the HMB for their unwavering efforts in achieving this remarkable achievement.
