Three teenagers were arraigned before a Grade I Area Court in Lugbe, Abuja, for allegedly causing public nuisance around the residence of FCT minister Nyesom Wike.
The teenagers, Nasiru Abdullahi (18), Usman Jabrin (17), and Aliyu Adamu (18), who have no fixed address, were charged with conspiracy and public nuisance.
They pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecutor, Stanley Nwaforaku, informed the court that the defendants were arrested by Inspector Godwin Gabriel and his patrol team attached to Asokoro Police Station for causing a public nuisance around Wike's residence.
The teenagers were warned against their actions but ignored every word.
During the police investigation, they could not give satisfactory reasons for their actions.
The judge, Malam Aliyu Kagarko, ordered that the defendants be remanded in custody and held that he must see their relations before granting them bail.
The case was adjourned until October 13, 2023, for mention.
