As part of their ongoing efforts to establish peace and security in the South East region of Nigeria, the troops of 302 Regiment, operating under the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, collaborated with the Anambra Vigilante Group to take down camps belonging to the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed affiliate, the Eastern Security Network. The successful operation took place in Oroma and Umuewelum Anam, located in Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State.
On July 23, 2023, the troops conducted a thorough raid on the identified camps, aiming to disrupt the illicit activities of the militant groups in these communities.
