*Nigeria Police Academy Announces Commencement of 10th Regular Course Cadet Degree Programme*
The Nigeria Police Force is pleased to announce the commencement of the 10th Regular Course Cadet Degree Programme and invites interested and eligible candidates of Nigerian origin to apply online. This program offers an excellent opportunity for both male and female Nigerians of good character to serve the nation.
Application Requirements:
To be eligible for admission into the Academy, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Be of Nigerian origin by birth and possess a National Identity Number (NIN).
2. Have a JAMB result for the year 2023, with a score of not less than 180 marks, and select Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil as the first choice in the JAMB form.
3. Hold a minimum of 6 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WAEC/NECO or equivalent, with credit passes in English and Mathematics.
4. Be aged between 17 and 21 years as of 31st October 2023.
5. Be medically, physically, and psychologically fit, with a height not less than 1.67m for males and 1.64m for females.
6. Have an expanded chest measurement of not less than 86cm (34 inches) for males.
7. Not be married or pregnant at the time of admission.
8. Possess a valid email address and phone number.
9. Note that SSCE (WAEC/NECO) Statements of Results or certificates issued before 2019 will not be accepted.
Application Process:
The application process is entirely virtual. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are required to visit the Academy's official website: https://polac.edu.ng. There, they must generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code to make a non-refundable payment of Three Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (N3,500) only through any commercial bank branch in Nigeria.
Upon successful payment, applicants will gain access to a form that needs to be filled out, and scanned copies of their SSCE results, birth certificate, and state of origin certificate must be uploaded. The completed online forms, along with guarantor forms, are to be printed and submitted during the physical screening at the Nigeria Police Academy. The date for the physical screening exercise will be communicated in due course.
Selection Process:
The selection process involves a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by an Automated Medical Screening Exercise and an Automated Interview/Selection Exercise. Successful candidates will undergo a 5-year academic and police training leading to a Bachelor's Degree and commissioning into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police II.
