BUS EVACUATION IN SUDAN

Uganda Airlines successfully evacuated 211 Ugandans living in Sudan who arrived in Uganda this morning, April 27th, 2023.

Meanwhile, Nigeria has allocated $1.2 million to rent buses to transport their citizens across the Sudan border, with over 5000 students alone in need of evacuation.

Given the scale of the operation, it is unlikely that enough airplanes could land in Khartoum to evacuate all 5000 people.

Therefore, the buses will transport them to safety in Egypt before they are airlifted.

There are some Nigerian students abandoned in Sudan. Out of 40 Buses allegedly paid for to evacuate them, only 27 was brought.
