JUSTICE TANKO MUHAMMAD RESIGNS AS CHIEF JUSTICE OF NIGERIA

 

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad has resigned on his own. 

It was gathered that he resigned on the bases of ill-health. 

Information also has it that another Judge has been sworn in. He is the  next most senior justice of the Supreme Court. His name is  Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, he would be the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria until further notice.

Until his resignation, reports had it that Justice Tanko Muhammed was seriously ill.
